Historic Building Restoration: One of our projects included a historic residential building in Los Angeles that was severely damaged by the Northridge earthquake in 1994.  TME was recommended to do the damage repair engineering.  The challenge was that no structural hardware could be exposed to view and that the repair should be affordable.  With the combined the expertise of our in-house Structural Engineer and Architect both met the challenge.  The owner historic building was very satisfied with the restoration and we saved the insurance company $500,000 when compared to the construction cost estimate established by the contractor based on the design by  another engineer.  We added one more name to our list of satisfied customers.
