Magnetically Shielded Room
(MSR): Our
challenge was to design from scratch, a room to house a brain scanner, which was
extremely sensitive to magnetic fields and vibration. The only information
available to us before the design work started was the basic physical properties
of the material. After six month of intense research and work, TME successfully
designed the "MSR". Tests showed that the MSR met or exceeded all
expectations.
To win this special project, TME had to compete with six much larger structural firms.
